- Made as a compact autonomous robotic car for obstacle detection, navigation, and IoT-based monitoring.
- Based on the open-source “Arlok” platform by Settorezero on GitHub, with the mechanical assembly and components integrated into a custom-built robot.
- Modified with an Arduino UNO R4 WiFi as the main microcontroller for sensor processing, motor control, and wireless communication.
- Fully redesigned and assembled components on SolidWorks with corresponding 2D technical drawings on AutoCAD for dimension documentation.
- Moves using two continuous-rotation modded MG966R servo motors, with one independently controlling each drive wheel.
- Uses an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor to continuously measure distance and detect obstacles in front of the robot.
- Programmed to automatically stop and reverse/turn away when an obstacle is detected within 20 cm, then continue navigating when the path is clear.
- Connected to Arduino Cloud over Wi-Fi to provide real-time distance monitoring and remote enable/disable control from a mobile phone.
- Uses a custom PCB shield to integrate the Arduino, servo motors, ultrasonic sensor, and power connections into a compact electrical system.
